Company Overview
RSN is a national television network that specializes in creating and distributing outdoor content to America's premier resorts, including more than 105 mountain and beach destinations across the country. RSN features local programming designed to provide information pertaining to recreation and entertainment options specific to those resorts.
RSN launched in 1985 with a goal to create a nationwide network of television stations serving mountain resorts. Resort operators quickly embraced the RSN concept because of the company's ability to provide unique, high-quality content that appealed to both residents and visitors of these destination areas. Premium advertisers also responded to the concept because RSN created a new network that demonstrated it was effective in reaching an attractive, and otherwise hard-to-reach, audience.
Today, RSN has expanded from its ski resort roots to include year round mountain and beach markets across North America. From exciting destinations such as Aspen, Vail, Lake Tahoe, Park City, Sun Valley, Killington, Mount Snow, Key West, and Myrtle Beach, RSN is able to reach unique audiences in their favorite places to play.
RSN Television
The RSN Television Network broadcasts in more than 100 prime destination-area markets around the country. Through its affiliated stations RSN serves these local resorts by providing relevant local information combined with national entertainment. When visiting resort markets around the country, vacationers get the insider’s view of what happens in that market. RSN Television shows the best places to eat, what to do with the kids, where to shop, and how to get around. RSN’s nationally distributed programs entertain visitors during their stay and inspire them to get outside and do the things that they love.
RSN Interactive
The RSN Web Network, comprising www.rsn.com and sister site www.goski.com, features the RSN Resort Cam network, a collection of daily updated images from North America's top destination areas. The RSN Web Network also provides up-to-date local conditions for destination favorites, along with The Insider's Guide, a tour of RSN resort markets that highlights dining, real estate, lodging, events, and nightlife. The Insider's Guide, hosted by locals, gets travelers ready for their visits by presenting the "best in show" for each market.
RSN is privately held, with 70 employees nationwide. RSN is based in Portland, Maine, with offices in New York, NY; Summit County, CO; Lake Tahoe, CA; Killington, VT; Mount Snow, VT; Sunday River, ME; and North Conway, NH.
